Ken Buckman: How Serial Entrepreneurs Unlock Success and Fulfillment

Ken “Bucky” is an ADHD-driven serial entrepreneur with 30 years in the trade show industry, having led TradeTec to national success and multiple INC 5000 rankings. He founded Rainy Investments, growing it into a $60M portfolio, and created Rainy Capital for diverse investments. Bucky is an active mentor, speaker, and volunteer, emphasizing ADHD advantages in business. Bucky is also a speaker, mentor, and dedicated volunteer raising over $750,000. He loves great beer, bourbon, and strong hugs. In this episode, Philip and Ken Buckman discuss:  Unlocking entrepreneurial success The surpassing value of experience and mentorship Attaining fulfillment and satisfaction Building a strong network  Key Takeaways: Entrepreneurial success comes from repurposing existing ideas through life experiences rather than seeking revolutionary inventions or wealth. Observe life's frustrations and consider if others share the same ones too and if people would pay to solve those problems. Formal education is less important than leveraging mentors and real-world experience for achieving entrepreneurial success. Embracing opportunities, taking risks, and learning from mistakes are crucial for entrepreneurs. Also, remember that failures are stepping stones to success, and mentors are crucial in overcoming obstacles.Money doesn't equate to fulfillment; satisfaction comes from creating something that improves people's lives and giving back to the community.Building a strong network that offers value, connects people, promotes learning, and shares compelling stories and advice is essential. “Stop overthinking everything. The ones that are really successful out there come up with an authentic idea from just doing life - taking multiple existing inventions that are already out there, and repackaging, repurposing and remarketing them in a different way and it takes off.” - Ken Buckman Connect with Ken Buckman:  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kenbuckman/?jobid=1234  Connect with Philip:  Website: https://www.fornarolaw.com/  Podcast Website: https://lbmpodcast.com/  "X": https://x.com/FornaroLaw  Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/philipfornaro/  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@fornarolaw3002  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/fornarolaw  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fornarolaw/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FornaroLaw  https://www.facebook.com/philip.fornaro.3/

Glozman is an accomplished and highly skilled criminal defense attorney with a track record of successfully representing individuals and corporations in high-stakes state and federal prosecutions. His focus on white-collar and major felony criminal defense, civil and criminal asset forfeiture, and appellate representation has earned him recognition as a top performer in his field. Glozman is renowned for his innovative and creative approach to the law, consistently delivering favorable results for his clients. His unwavering dedication to his clients and his zealous advocacy have led to numerous acquittals, dismissals, and sentence reductions in complex federal and state matters. He has successfully represented clients facing charges ranging from conspiracy, mortgage fraud, health care fraud, bank fraud, mail/wire fraud, theft of trade secrets, obstruction of justice, and public corruption, to drug crimes, violent crimes, theft, weapons charges, and various other state charges. As a trial lawyer, Glozman understands the all-encompassing nature of his profession. He believes that being on trial is not just a job but a way of life. His representation extends to all aspects of litigation, including grand jury investigations, verdicts, sentencings, and appeals. The growing firm is trusted by clients throughout the country. In this episode, Philip and Vadim Glozman discuss:  Protecting your reputation The complexity of navigating court rules for businesses The procedural and memorable moments in jury trials Networking and client acquisition strategies  Key Takeaways: Reputation damage can ruin livelihood even if acquitted, so it's best to remain quiet, release limited statements, or counterattack with publicity before trial. Shut up, get a lawyer, and don't talk without an attorney to avoid self-incrimination despite an innocent impression. Navigating subpoenas and grand juries for businesses is complicated due to different rules based on business structure and whether testimony or records are requested compared to simpler individual self-incrimination rights.Jury trials have procedural aspects but memorable moments; cross-examination reveals truth; direct examination is scripted; defendant testimony involves weighing risks but can engage the jury and provide an opportunity.Networking and client acquisition strategies involve leveraging referrals from trusted contacts like other attorneys and past clients as well as exploring online marketing avenues like LinkedIn and websites. “One of the things that people have to realize is you don't have to solve the entire problem for it to go away. You only sometimes have to solve part of the problem for the whole problem to go away.” - Vadim Glozman Connect with Vadim Glozman:  Website: www.glozmanlaw.com  Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/vglozman/ ,  https://www.linkedin.com/company/law-offices-of-vadim-a-glozman/  Connect with Philip:  Website: https://www.fornarolaw.com/  Podcast Website: https://lbmpodcast.com/  "X": https://x.com/FornaroLaw  Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/philipfornaro/  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@fornarolaw3002  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/fornarolaw  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fornarolaw/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FornaroLaw  https://www.facebook.com/philip.fornaro.3/

In this episode, Philip and Scott Schamber discuss:  Gold as a crisis hedgeProtecting your assetsPreserving your wealth against volatility and uncertainty Key Takeaways: Gold is historically significant and has been used as money since the ancient times. Its scarcity makes it a reliable store of value. Physical gold can be useda as a crisis hedge, especially in times of economic uncertainty. Diversify your portfolio and have assets outside your home country as a safety measure against political concerns and civil unrest. Stay informed about potential economic and political changes and have a backup plan to preserve your wealth. Gold can be used as a downside protection in a diverse investment portfolio. There is a huge difference between investing in physical gold and using EFTs or mutual funds that invest in precious metals. Having physical gold is good for long-term wealth preservation and to hedge against market volatility and economic uncertainty.  “Gold has been money for 6000 years. There's only so much amount of gold - it will always have value.” - Scott Schamber Connect with Scott Schamber:  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/scottschamber/?originalSubdomain=ch Connect with Philip:  Website: https://www.fornarolaw.com/  Podcast Website: https://lbmpodcast.com/  "X": https://x.com/FornaroLaw  Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/philipfornaro/  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@fornarolaw3002  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/fornarolaw  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fornarolaw/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FornaroLaw  https://www.facebook.com/philip.fornaro.3/
