Ebenso Magnus Nickl, Architekt und Geschäftsführer der Nickl & Partner Architekten Schweiz AG. Komplettiert wird die Runde von Jürgen Häcker, Lichtberater Architektur bei der Zumtobel Group. Er ist Leiter der Forschergruppe Leistungselektronik in der Technischen Hochschule Ostwestfalen Lippe sowie in Kooperation fachlicher Leiter des Forschungsbereichs Innovation der Lenze SE. Von Zumtobel mit dabei ist Birthe Bittner, Head of Application Management Industry. Episode 13 of Light Talks focuses on the potential of direct current in industry as a driver in advancing the energy transition. One of the topics discussed is the DC Alliance, an initiative in this context and a first pilot project of Zumtobel. Joining online is Professor Holger Borcherding, founding father of the “DC factory”. He is the head of the power electronics research group at the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL) and technical head of the “Innovation” research area at Lenze SE, which cooperates with TH OWL.     In episode 10 of Light Talks, the Zumtobel Group Podcast, acclaimed Mexican architect Frida Escobedo discusses her process of having created this year’s annual report of the Zumtobel Group, entitled “The Book Of Hours”, which has become a very personal exploration of light through her private collection of 24 objects. Escobedo emphasizes the profound emotional connection between time and our experiences, highlighting the collaborative effort with her two sisters – poet and photographer – in the report's creation. She also touches on the challenge of balancing client requirements with personal expression and shares her sources of inspiration and what her creative processes are like. The conversation concludes with an exploration of the contextual exhibition at the Zumtobel Group Light Forum in Dornbirn, offering unique perspectives on the collectibles included in the book, presented under different lighting scenes. The exhibition can be seen until the end of March 2024.
