Spot on (for the most part)

I’ve played Northwoods a few years ago while visiting my son. We have another trip scheduled in a couple months and will play it again. Great info on the early morning back 9 availability at Pacific Dune. As for geography, Chicago is not west of the Mississippi River!
Do Not Miss Tucson Golf !
01/23/2022
Like Joe, I’m a Cleveland transplant to the desert—but livin’ is easy and much less expensive where I live in Tucson, and the views are several quantum levels more spectacular. With I-10 widened, from central Scottsdale you can access great Tucson golf in 100 min. So don’t miss my faves: For tour venue bucket listers—Ritz Carlton Dove Mtn and The Gallery South(now private, find a member). Don’t miss Marriott Starr Pass, Westin La Paloma and Robert Gamez designed Sewailo on tribal lands at Casino del Sol—all have been home to the U of A golf team at one time or another. I’ll add a few eateries to the Scottsdale list: Roka Akor, any Mastros, Frank and Albert’s at the Biltmore, and Roaring Fork. Just have a drink at Phil’s grill and admire the memorabilia, go somewhere else to eat—the food is pretty mundane. By the way, when in Scottsdale don’t miss the redesigned “links” Ambiente course at the Camelback Resort and the redesigned courses at the Phoenician.
