The crack of the bat, the snap of a ball hitting the glove, the low chanting of the crowd, Mikey's dad yelling at the ump for calling his kids pitch a strike when it was really up and in, little Jake Kirby crying in the dugout...
...because this is LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL. They say everything is bigger in Texas, yes. But they ALSO say everything is smaller in South Williamsport, PA (home of the Little League World Series), especially the athletes.
