LIVING FULLY ALIVE. A podcast from: Mary Hyatt

Intuitive Living For The Modern Woman.

I’m on a quest to help women start living fully alive.

In my podcast, I’ll share real conversations and strategies for having more purpose, pleasure and passion in your body, mind, and soul.

From body love, mindset, femininity, success, sexuality - I cover it all!

In 2012 I was completely shut down, feeling lost, numb and freaked out. I was 75 pounds heavier than I am now, living out one of the darkest times in my life… and then something happened.

A SPARK.

An inner light began to flicker. I bravely stepped out of the shell of a woman I had become. I ordered 20+ books on Amazon and took myself to Mary-Come-Back-To-Your-Life-School. Fast forward 7 years later and now I am a body-love and holistic lifestyle advocate, a Presidential Diamond with doTERRA essential oils, an entrepreneur and a personal life and mindset coach. I’m empowering women all over the world to bravely step into their life and start living more fully alive!

Join me every week as I bring mindset shifting ideas, inspiring conversations and thought provoking interviews so you can finally say, YOU ARE LIVING FULLY ALIVE.

#7: Spiritual Bypassing with Lindsley Brooks

#7: Spiritual Bypassing with Lindsley Brooks

Join Mary and her best friend Lindsley Brooks as they dig in deeper to talk about spiritual bypassing. When we experience emotions that feel “too big” or “too painful” we tend to find all kinds of covert ways to avoid “the work”. Many positive things that we incorporate into our lives with good intention can end up being used to help us cope and bring us comfort when life throws hard things at us. Prayer, meditation, astrology, spirituality, and religion are all things we might find ourselves turning to in order to bypass our emotions, pain, and struggles. The intention is good, but these “tools” can often keep us in a place where we avoid or ignore the feelings pointing us to places where we need healing. Part of being human is feeling a full range of emotions, experiencing highs and lows, and having a biological response to whatever is happening in our lives. When we choose to bypass our emotions, we self abandon and break trust with ourselves. When we choose to sit with our emotions and truly heal we create the opportunity to live fully alive!   ON THIS EPISODE WE WILL DISCUSS…
    - What “spiritual bypassing” is
    - How we use positive things to bury our pain
    - How spiritual bypassing can feel like the enlightened choice
    - Creating space to accept our full range of emotions
    - Attaching morality to emotions
    - Giving ourselves permission to be fully human
    - The addiction of spirituality to escape reality
    - 3 Steps to avoid spiritual bypassing
    - And more!

#6: Emotional Dysfunction Inside Relationships with Lindsley Brooks

#6: Emotional Dysfunction Inside Relationships with Lindsley Brooks

Join Mary and her former part time co-host and best friend, Lindsley Brooks as they dig into how emotional intelligence affects your interpersonal relationships. We all learned in our childhoods emotional survival techniques. We learned how to be seen, get love, and gain approval. These emotional blueprints and patterns often come with us into adulthood causing us to abandon ourselves in order to attempt to get our needs met. How do we learn something new? How do we learn to be in a healthy relationship with another person? When we find ourselves stuck in these patterns it is time to face the hard work of undoing the foundation of our patterning. Listen as Mary and Lindsley candidly talk about how when we notice the roles we played as children showing up in our adult relationships, it is really an invitation to do the work to usher in deeper healing.

ON THIS EPISODE WE WILL DISCUSS…
    - Identifying the roles you played as a child to get your needs met
    - The importance of doing relationships well
    - How and why we self abandon in relationships
    - Indicators that you might be emotionally codependent
    - What “Spiritual Bypassing” is and how you might be doing it
    - The definition of “Gaslighting” and how it shows up in relationships
    - Why emotional dysregulation is really a cry for safety
    - Why emotional regulation is really about creating wholeness
    - And more!
