Special Guest #131 - Brandall Laughlin

Born and raised in Dallas, Tx where I finished high school and went on to college there as well.  I graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BFA with a triple concentration in photography, painting and drawing. I have been continually using my degree since graduating in 1993.  I have four sons, born in 1996, 1998, 2000, and 2002. I moved to Oxford in 2002 when my youngest was just eight weeks old and have been living here for the last 23 years.  For many years I was very active in their schools, with the Humane Society, the Food Pantry and the local garden club, and most recently, I have devoted the last six years to facilitating a grief support group. My career path has mainly been photography.  It began as a little side business and bloomed into full time work for portraits, seniors, families, weddings, editorials, magazine work, website work, advertising and food photography.  I had taken a break from drawing for many years, but picked it back up in 2021 and have established a thriving portrait business. I live in a little house on an acre of land with a couple dogs, a handful of cats and my son’s horse is in the pasture next to my home.  When I am not working, I am a self-proclaimed passionate traveler with, not a bucket list, but a life list. It is a big, wonderful world and I want to see and experience as much of it as I can.  I have a better half that I travel and explore and do life with. My dream job would be to travel the world and take photographs because it combines two things, well three things that I love: my partner, travel, and taking photos.
