Living Single with Yana Jenay
Living Single with Yana Jenay is a podcast all about singleness. Not dating or how to prepare yourself for marriage but how to LIVE single. Though the culture (church culture included) has convinced us that marriage and romantic love is the pinnacle of life, in this podcast, Yana Jenay shares how her faith in Christ has caused her to embrace a new narrative. Her hope is to move the conversation about singleness past contentment to celebration and create a movement of #notthirsty singles.

This podcast has allowed me to share several episodes with my single women friends. What beauty in the scriptures that come alive through humility. Thank you for answering the call to serve in this way!

I’ve only listened to this beautiful black sister once, but I’m extremely impressed with her conviction and compassion to speak out and encourage singles no matter what age or season of life you are in. I felt emboldened and powerful as I listened to how this woman of God is walking with Him in humility and grace. Thanks for the work you do.
I’m so grateful for you and this podcast!

Yana, I can’t thank you enough for hosting this wonderful podcast! It’s so refreshing and your voice and opinions are so inspiring! I’ve been single all my life, except for a few months here and there when I managed to date someone, and the person just ended up not being the one for me, or vice versa. I’m so tired of feeling less than and incomplete. I can so relate to the feeling that God forgot about me, or that he must be punishing me, and I really believe we have to stop believing the lie that marriage means you are complete or better than an unmarried person. If I stop putting marriage on a pedestal or seeing it as a reward, I don’t have to see myself as inferior or neglected by God. Instead, I need to thank God for all I have, that I didn’t end up stuck in an unhappy marriage and to just practice gratitude and loving myself as I am. After all, if I don’t love myself, how will I ever be able to attract a good partner and be able to fully love him? Anyway, God Bless You and keep doing what you’re doing! We love you!
