Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs agreed to a two-year non-conference scheduling agreement with Mick Cronin and the UCLA Bruins. The first game will be played in 2024 at the Intuit Dome, the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers, while the return game will be played at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle in 2025. Gonzaga has one four straight against the Bruins, and UCLA will hope to get back in the win column with former Zags guard Dominick Harris and GU target Trent Perry on Cronin's roster.

Gonzaga Bulldogs freshman guard Dusty Stromer began the season as a starter after Steele Venters went down with a knee injury, but by midseason Mark Few had replaced him with Ben Gregg. Still, Dusty had plenty of success in his first year with the Zags, emerging as a reliable perimeter defender and three point shooter.

Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs are reportedly in contact with transfer guard Braeden Smith - not the Purdue star but rather a high level distributor from Colgate. Smith played high school ball at Seattle Prep and was a candidate for National Freshman of the Year in 2023 and won Patriot League Player of the Year in 2024, and with two years of eligibility remaining he could step into a starting role for the Zags as a senior once Ryan Nembhard, Nolan Hickman, and Khalif Battle run out of eligibility.

Khalif Battle picked Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs over Kansas State and Villanova, but will the former Arkansas guard be willing to come off the bench? And is that the right role for the high scoring 6'5 star?
