A loose cannon is a person who is unpredictable, impulsive, and difficult to control.

Examples:

1- The president’s advisor is a loose cannon—he often leaks information to the press without permission.

2- My uncle at family dinners is a loose cannon—he’ll say anything, even if it embarrasses everyone!
