LEARN to discern what actually feels good.  Give yourself permission through intention and making sound decisions.  It all boils down to LOVE. When Ramona said; I want to love you and I can't love me without loving you.  Allow it to unfold.  You don't even WANT permission. Nothing is wrong with you. Nobody knows what you need.     Katrine Horn believes that it is truly an inside job. She learned what's on the outside & what other people could see is of least important.  For many women, who don't knw what they want. They begin this by going deeper & explore more as we mature.  Katrine said it best, we get to decide how deep we want to go. We can't change others but we can DECIDE to change ourselves. Which vicariously, it will catapult changes within others because they feed off of us and our energy.  Seeing the women drive themselves in the ground, attaching their value to the "doing" instead of going within and satisfying themselves. A true misconception, that is unfortunately transferred to the children through modeling this behavior. What are you modeling my friend?  Being a professional people pleaser, Katrine discovered it after decades of taking on this aforementioned role. Perception is the robber of a lot of dreams.  Ask yourself, what do you make it all mean? YOU have the power to change the prize. What if you no longer aspired to be the winner of the "person who have done the most" medal. OUCH! You don't have to justify anything. You have nothing to prove and nothing to defend.  Just DECIDE. By your own design & creation. You get to OWN that... PERMISSION. Give it to yourself, just because you decided that's what you want. Give yourself permission again and again.  Trying things is truly the way to find out.  Living in your head leaves you in a numb space, feeling unfulfilled and disconnected from your REAL self. Get curious sis. Working on ONE thing at a time, results in other epiphanies and your ongoing evolution. Try it on. What you want, wants you too my friend. How long have you been pushing it down? Avoiding and self-sabotaging? Where is your energy being directed? Energy goes where energy flows. What is your BEST? Being okay in the messy middle and allow for fluidity simultaneously. Try that! What if you DECIDED that you don't have to explain or justify?  Modeling what you choose for yourself will strengthen your journey to TRUST yourself. As a result, your mind conects to the famiiar and you will unapologetically attract more of that in your life & those that you encounter from the bedroom & beyond.  Give the pink slip to the inner critic and instead build your raving cheerleader.  Ask yourself some powerful questions my friend, begin with what & how.     Rani Macinnes is a coach for midlife women & serve them around careers and business.  Ageism is one of the primary issues that Rani's clients deal with. Exploring "second acts" bring opportunities and the realization that they build the beilef that they can build their own thing.  We will burn the "midlife crisis" term and intentionally replace it with & promote the actualization of midlife as a REBIRTH.   Creating solutions of exploration to make provisions and STILL make intimacy happen no matter if it's the teens, young adults, parents and even the neighbors.  What's your level of tolerance? More importantly, what do YOU want? The height of the pandemic is behind us but what behaviors and nuances are still present in your day to day? When you think of yourself and the usual midlife woes, do you water the plant, talk to it or are you ignoring it? Your mindset is key; change your thoughts, change your life.  Menopause is a normal human experience, no longer a taboo topic. We have to elevate our voices and normalize it. You must become an advocate for your own health. Be empowered and elevate menopause related conversation because it's such a life changer, not only for us today but in generations to come. Communication, tests, trying a multitude of options that is available because a cookie cutter method is not the way to go. What works for one, may not work for another.  Atrophy and other hormonal matters, to help with hormonal balance, testosterone, estrogen and some consider HRT. Scientifically, physically, mentally  Bioidentical naturally aligns to our bodies and seeing physicians you trust, and that sometimes mean switching along the way. Speak up for yourself, YOU MATTER! Again, be your own best advocate! Tap into your own intuition, you have all you need. TRUST yourself and own your POWER.  Rani said it best...MIDLIFE is the best time! Love ALL of you...     Jane Bromley currently lives as a nomad but formally left a life of stress & burnout behind.  Do you find it hard to relax? Struggle to slow down? Through prioritizing others, not being kind to herself, left her Jane in a space that no longer worked for her.  Ask yourself "what are you doing"? I love how Jane used the car analogy...so befitting! Living in normalized dysfunction is ludicrous.  Jane's journey to & through what actually worked for her was incredible. Adding fun, joy and other ways that her body responded to gracefully, kept her going and intentionally designing what she wants. Mindset shifts are life-changing, along with becoming your own best friend & your own cheerleader will result in you not recognizing your world in such a short time with the help of Jane's methodology. Stress & burnout is so becoming normalized, more of an epidemic honestly. Not living fully, more like a "shadow" of who you REALLY are. Be the calm amongst the chaos. Embed new habits/behaviors into your daily practices before it results in ailments and/or illness. Not waiting to get to the "wake up call" in order to take consideration or action. Your nervous system provides SO much insight; fight & flight being the primary scope of exploration to identify the root cause and heal it at the core. Tools and frameworks discovered and adapted through coaching & doing the work allow for the opportunity to rinse & repeat the process as needed.  The reward is having an authentic relationship with yourself, there's just nothing on earth that top's that. It also has a domino effect in your relationships with others.  Do you feel as if you're on a hamster wheel? Listen to the cues, tune into the signals your body and take your life back.     Jen Anderson is a recovering perfectionist. Do you also have a phobia with RED marks on your paper  in school. Jen created an interactive app for imperfect humans called Accomplist.  Imperfectionist is what Jen is known for where she works with people to move them through the stuckness and overwhelm of perfection. Her clients are accepting that just getting it done avoids the overwhelm.  Excellence vs perfection is what Jen promotes and debunking the myths around being, aspiring to be perfect. It's about normalizing it to be natural & allow it to be OKAY. As Jen says: SKIP IT! Put your mask on first, literally, physically & intetionally. Friend, does living laborious offer fulfillment to you? I want to ask, how would you spend today if you knew you would die tomorrow? Time is your most valuable commodity.  IntiMEcy offers interconnected-ness with yourself.  Menopausal transitions require you to be accepting of ALL of you. Adopt "I don't care anymore" and live fully in the space you create for yourself. Jen's insight into fashion is worth exploring further, she explores it all in her Plus By Design blog.  Jen suggested you make a REVERSE bucket list: 50 things you've done thus far in your life, no matter how small you may think it is. After 39 years, her marriage ended.     Lisa Boate provided a walkthrough of her menopausal journey and how it allowed her choose to put her needs first and walk away from an extensive career as an educator. On average, 1 in 10 women leaving the workplace due to the lack of support. What woud you say is or was needed in your workplace that could've made you feel supported? We need to pump up the volume so silent suffering is no longer optional. It is OUR job to normalize midlife & menopause by giving voice to the voiceless, create a safe space and each one, reach, period. What did you call your treasure chest?  We have to consider the quality of life you're sacrificing when you don't rediscover your dormant dreams, reconnect to your innermost desires that keep calling out to you, grabbing your attention and reignite your drive to live your best life by your own design just by tuning in to your body's wisdom. The Body Keeps Score was such a life awakening journey for me and a staple in my personal library.   Are you a best selling author but haven't written a book as yet. You told yourself so many stories and chapter after chapter you have begun to take that nonfiction category and need to instead place it in its correct section; fiction. Many life experiences remove you away from yourself but intentionally move into it, and as Lisa pointed out, create an anchor for yourself. Work through the emotions and bridge the gap from numbness to feeling all the feels because you create capacity for what you want.  Lisa has created a magical mini-course with her colleague and it offers an embodied experience, no self-judgment, more compassion and true reconciliation.  Scan your body, what needs your attention? Where do you feel the sensations in your body?  One step at a time. Slow down, listen to yourself & your body. Create a regimen that serves ALL of you. Trust yourself. Get moving, even trying the resistant training that Lisa talked about.  It's truly powerful permission to end the silent suffering. Repeat after me, no more silent suffering!     PERMISSION & PURPOSE w/Karen Owen

    The fruitful conversation with Karen Owen was SO enlightening. Identity changes are at the core of our exchange here today. Granting yourself the permission to unapologetically go after what you want with intentionality.  Karen also pointed out that there is a theme around called "grey divorce", which is a hot topic in the midlife streets these days.  Finding our purpose, building strength, resilience and moving through life powerfully is what will bring us freedom, fun & fulfillment.  Karen shared so much juiciness that she learned from Martha Beck's change cycle and is a critical tool that she uses with her clients too. It was also a key ingredient in helping her navigate the menopause stages of her own and moving into helping other women discover their capabilities, decrease anxiety and creating a fulfilled life after divorce.  In addition, through the Positive Intelligence methodology, Karen expressed the impact of saboteurs and judges because of the way they impact our lives. You can learn more here.   We must flip the script ladies. Each one, reach one through normalizing menopause and the transitions that come with midlife & beyond. Raise your voice and speak to other women openly about your worries, wins, concerns, curiosity and see it as a gift that keeps on giving.  ALL your lived experiences matter. It becomes your legacy, and more importantly, YOU MATTER! Give yourself permission to reignite all of what you desire. Allow for exploration and decide to attain what you want. We also explored the difference of how the UK supports menopause friendly workplaces, hosts an award show and all, but the US is not onboard with such greatness.  One thing I know to be true; change your thoughts, change your life! ALLOW yourself to lean into & feel the expression of ALL your emotions, none are bad or good- they just need to expressed.  Do you or have you ever struggled with people pleasing? How is it running your life? What are YOU tolerating? Be honest. Once you answer, ask yourself, is that true? Acknowledge that you made some of that shit up.  A true boundary creator is adopting NO as a complete sentence and do whatever it takes until it rolls off your tongue with ease. Practice ways to say it and even role-play saying it repeatedly, knowing every no to others is a YES to YOU. Karen was not only a powerful guest, she is also such a great listener: SO priceless! What will make you SURRENDER and ALLOW you to receive what you truly desire? Keep it real with yourself.  The best thing that we know as people-centered coaches, we meet you where you are and make it okay if you're not ready. When you’re done fighting for your excuses, we can move on to something else and guide you through what you’re able to move through.
