    Motivation Takes Work

In this episode of The Refund, Sara and Jordyn tackle the intricacies of motivation. We debunk the myth of its constant presence, diving into how it needs to be nurtured and adapted. Sara's post-lunch energy dip sparks a conversation about chronotypes, while Jordyn underscores that motivation isn't always a prerequisite for success. We share anecdotes about fitness enthusiasm and finding the right workout regimen. As entrepreneurs, we discuss evolving motivations in business and strategies for overcoming creative blocks. And remember, it’s not a one size fits all approach, there is great value in the trial and error in discovering what drives your motivation.  Follow the Refund Hosts:  Sara Schultz | @heysaraschultz | https://heysaraschultz.com/ | https://www.freeafternoon.co/ Jordyn DiOrio | @jordyndiorio | https://www.jdpconsult.co/  Director and Editor:  Kaylee Lamoine | @kayleelamoine | Kaylee LaMoine Film Co. 4. Fact Checking

    Fact Checking

We are delving into the importance of fact-checking in our businesses. We decided to fact-check some past podcast claims live, with our Producer Lauren. From stats on women-owned businesses to business failure rates and social media trends, we realized how crucial accuracy and nuance are.  Living in a world where anyone can say anything and claim it’s true, especially if they have a microphone or say it with confidence, makes it vital to be as honest, transparent, and helpful as possible. It's easier to consume information than to assume, so we should all be skeptical about what we take in. When it comes to decisions like buying a G-Wagon for the write-off, we question if it's really right for our businesses.
