Maculate Conception
Now in their third year of In-Vitro Fertilization treatment, we documented Abbe and Isaac's experience so listeners can hear first-hand the intimate struggles of a couple experiencing infertility. They share their hopes, dreams, doctors appointments, and late-night fights and reveal an up-close, personal, and sometimes funny look at a couple longing to become parents in real time. Abbe and Isaac Feder met in the summer of 2008. For Isaac, it was love at first sight. Eventually, Abbe got on board. They were engaged a year later, and got married because of their love for one another, and also because they wanted to have children. After hearing stories from friends: warnings from their own bumps along the road, and trying to be as supportive as possible, they felt sure this was not one going to be their story. As it turns out, their story became extremely complicated.ABBE MERYL FEDER is a writer, producer, and actress in Los Angeles. She’s an Artist in Residence at the Braid Theater in Santa Monica. She is also a stylist, and is a recurring contributor to the blog What’s Up Moms. You can find her on social media at @absofstyle (instagram). She grew up on the mean streets of New York’s Upper East Side, graduated from the University of Wisconsin, and studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. I am not a parent , nor have I gone through this process, but I have had friends a family members who have, and it has always been a learning experience for me to learn about all stages of the birthing process. It is soo important to talk about this , thank you for being honest , sharing your tender moments, and offer up your most venerable moments. I appreciate you both and your journey.

I keep checking and hoping for new episodes. I know it has to be such a difficult thing to share this journey in real time. Until you’ve undergone IVF and walked a mile in their shoes you can’t possibly understand and should not judge them. Sending prayers and love to you both!

I mean I just can’t with this woman. My husband and I have struggled with infertility and totally understand the stress and trauma of IVF and multiple miscarriages. But this woman is a narcissistic, whiny, princess. It’s all about HER and her struggle. I feel so bad for her husband. She’s mean to him. Poor guy is probably afraid of her. I have a hard time empathizing with her. It’s almost like she likes being a victim. I was done with her when she failed to acknowledge presence of her friends’ kids because of what SHE was going through. I thinks she’s a miserable person.
I wish this would come back

I was riveted. I wish they’d come back.
