Magnetic storm creating spectacular auroras Good Morning Cape Town with Lester Kiewit

A massive solar storm, the largest in twenty years, has been resulting in some spectacular nighttime light shows in the northern and southern skies.  Carl Lindemann is a former board member of Astronomical Society of Southern Africa, Cape section, and he has been fortunate enough to have seen two spectacular Aurora Borealis in his lifetime, but still hoping for his first Aurora Australis. He spoke to Africa Melane, standing in for Lester Kiewit, about how these phenomena occur.
