328: ENCORE: You Aren't Being "Spoiled"

Why in the world do we have such low standards sometimes? Many of us wouldn’t give someone the time of day if they were to say to us “I like to keep the bar low, so that way when I do anything- you get impressed”. Um- no thank you! Next, please! And yet, we hear moms say that they feel spoiled when their partner gives their kids a bath (for the first time ever...and their youngest is 3!), or they were able to sleep in one day out of the year. Seriously? When did that count as being “spoiled”?   In this episode, we push against that thought process that as moms, we should be happy settling for cold chicken nuggets as a meal and someone offering (but not actually doing) the dishes one day a year. We dig deep into expectations, why we sometimes settle for less than we know we deserve, and 4 things we can do about that today! This is an ENCORE presentation of podcast episode (079) You Aren't Being "Spoiled". 327: Creating Abundance for Yourself: a conversation with Cathy Heller

Ever feel like you're stuck in the “I-can’t-ask-for-more” rut? Like if you even think about wanting abundance, someone’s going to pop out and say, “Not for you, Mom!”? Well, spoiler alert: That’s total nonsense. In this episode, we’re shaking up your mindset, your beliefs, and maybe even your to-do list (because abundance doesn’t wait for a clear calendar). Get ready to ditch the people-pleasing, toss out those limiting beliefs, and finally understand why success doesn’t need to look like a Pinterest-perfect life. Cathy Heller, host of the Abundant Ever After podcast, and the author of the new book, Abundant Ever After: Tools for Creating a Life of Prosperity and Ease joins us as we talk about how personal growth & abundance can come from unexpected places, how success can be redefined beyond traditional metrics, and why on earth do so many women feel they don't have the right to ask for more?! If you’ve ever thought, “Do I want more than I should?” the answer is a loud, unapologetic NO! Trust us, you’ll want to find 30 minutes to tune in because abundance is waiting, and it looks fabulous on you.
