I first became acquainted with Sabrina’s work through her podcast “I’ll Take a Death Note (and Read It),” so I subscribed to this series with high expectations. She did not disappoint! Each episode contains a thorough analysis of the manga du jour, including a discussion of key themes, cultural context, the genre in which the manga is categorized, and more. It’s obvious that a lot of thought and care went into this podcast, which I greatly appreciate. Even though I haven’t read most of the series in the lineup, I could still follow along and thoroughly enjoy the episodes without ever feeling confused. Sabrina’s speaking voice is friendly and pleasant to listen to, and her wry sense of humor adds a dash of fun to the podcast. I always look forward to new updates! In conclusion, whether you’re an otaku, a bookworm, or both, you will love this series!
