    Food prices, heating and staying on top of their budget during the winter months is still a concern for lots of people on the Isle of Man, according to the Salvation Army. The charity is holding a free budgeting course next month, hoping to help people understand their own attitudes to money and look at the impact borrowing can have.

    Manx Newscast: Manx Care "not even close" to agreeing pay deal with BMA

    The chief executive of Manx Care says she doesn't think they're even close to being able to resolve a pay dispute with its doctors in the British Medical Association. The union is calling for a 12.6% pay rise for the 2023-24 financial year, and could ballot its members for industrial action if a pay award isn't agreed. Today we're hearing from Glen Corlett who's a supervisor in the Emergency Services Joint Control Room Operations Manager. In the UK, demand on the service is continuing to rise, with it taking longer to respond to calls and, in some places, ambulances queuing outside hospitals to get their patients help.     Manx Newscast: Manx doctors to ballot for industrial action

    Doctors employed by Manx Care on the Isle of Man are to ballot for industrial action. The British Medical Association is asking for a 12.6 percent uplift in pay for the 23/24 financial year. Siobhán Fletcher caught up with Dr Prakash Thiagarajan to find out more.
