Marcos Chocron’s Journey to Futurity Success

The winners circle is a familiar place for Marcos Chocron. In his humble way he shares his journey from Venezuela to his cherished new home and lifestyle for his family in Texas.

Though his dominance at the 2024 NCHA Metallic Cat Futurity Amateur Championship may have looked easy the time and effort was anything but easy.

Surprisingly, he didn’t discover his passion for horses until he was 20, but once he did, there was no turning back. After a hiatus, Marcos reignited his love for the cowboy lifestyle in 2020, moving from Miami to Texas with his wife and kids for a fresh start.

In this episode, he shares the highs and challenges of investing in show horses, competing in non-pro classes, and learning from top trainers like Michael Cooper. With cowboy culture on the rise, Marcos reflects on his journey, community support, and exciting plans for the future!
