Just great.

Great stories about women scientists. We sometimes think of women in science as being a recent phenomenom but women have always been in science just not recognized for their work. Thank you Poncie for lifting up their stories.
Wonderful

Babes of Science fills a void! Poncie presents an informative series of podcasts about some awesome women in science. Listen, learn, and enjoy this series. The next time you are asked the question, "Can you name a woman scientist?", you will have a long list of answers. Well done.

My New Favorite Podcast

This is my new favorite podcast. Episodes are short but cram so much wonderful stuff in—a terrific payoff for a short amount of time. Many longer podcasts don’t leave me feeling like I’ve learned as much as I do in 12 minutes of Babes of Science. I really love Poncie’s approach—there are cool facts and stories here, but she also manages to identify what makes each of these women special and how their stories reflect larger issues from their time and today. And she does it without a bit of rambling, in 15 minutes or less. That takes skill. All of the episodes are great, but I think Rosalyn Yalow was my favorite. One nitpick: Maria Mitchell’s name is pronounced Mar-EYE-a, like Mariah Carey. I have too many friends who are Vassar grads or who worked at the Maria Mitchell Association to let that one go.
