“Perfect… just perfect… down to every last detail” Homelander

I loved this podcast until I was repeatedly insulted and gaslighted by a member of the team. I took a chance, and reached out to let these folks know just how much they were doing meant to me. A friendship began to form with one of the main hosts, but the producer of this show was not a fan. An idea was proposed for something I might be able to do as an engaged and excited member of their fan base, but conflicting information was hard to process, and I made the mistake of asking for clarity. I was insulted, talked down to, gaslighted, and told I was worthless. And for as much as I loved these guys, I couldn’t bear to listen to them anymore. It was heartbreaking, and completely unnecessary. They were obviously not on the same page with either other, and if I had only known that, I would have completely understood. Instead, I was shamed and bullied, and this coming from a podcast where the hosts often talk about mental health advocacy and the difficulties of moving through intense loss and change in your life. For fans of the MCU, I would definitely recommend giving this show a listen, but be careful. I do not recommend writing in or trying to interact with any of these people. It must be chaos behind the scenes. And it breaks my heart. I love a good nerd out, and I understand anyone going through a rough patch in their lives and still showing up to do what they love. That’s an amazing gift to be able to share. I still niss this show, but I will never listen to another episode. Don’t let their honesty fool you. For a team that seems to promote mental health advocacy and support, they fail on all levels in recognizing the basic humanity of others.

Loved the Worst Podcast Pt. 2! So many truths were spoken. I identify very much with the feeling of loss of hope that Matt expressed. It’s nice to hear someone else say it so that I know I’m not alone or crazy. Keep up the excellent podcast.
