Today’s guest is Mary Lauren Fraser and she is a casket weaver. Using traditional methods of willow weaving, she creates hand made incredible coffins and urns, as a way to support the growing movement of green burials and minimizing harsh chemicals and using biodegradable materials.
She is also a musician and found her way to weaving while traveling around the UK to play fiddle.
Together we discuss her journey, her process, and a bit about workshops she offers. There is of course mentions of death and funerals in this episode, but I hope it prompts you to be curious and have open communication about these topics and the ways we can create a more environmentally friendly process.
We hope you enjoy listening!
