I'm your host, Sebastian Munoz. And here's a little about my journey: Five years ago, I was lucky to join a Proptech startup called Angel Host at its very early beginnings. Early as in, employee #3. Angel Host now manages more than 1,000 exclusive rental properties across 7 countries and employs more than 80 people, so it's been a fun ride. I've had to wear many hats along the way, from Guest Services, Channel Marketing, to Growth Strategy, Business Development, and even HR. I even became an early-stage Angel investor and witnessed the process of raising multiple rounds of financing from some of the most prominent Venture Capital Funds in the world. Now, this is where the podcast comes in. In the last 24 months alone, I've been to 26 different industry tradeshows where I've met with industry leaders in US cities like Orlando, Las Vegas, Miami, San Antonio, Austin, Nashville, Houston, Hilton Head, Jekyll Island, Panama City, and many more. Not to mention Europe's historical hubs like London, Malaga, and Barcelona, down to the tropical destinations of Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and soon, Turks & Caicos & Puerto Rico. Each conference that I've attended in every single one of those cities represents hundreds of conversations that have shaped and developed my love, appreciation, understanding, and passion for the global real estate and short-term rental landscape. But here's the deal: I no longer want to keep all of those insightful conversations just for myself. You deserve to have access to those same conversations. And the reality is, I definitely don't know it all. I'm not here to pretend that I do. I just love learning and am beyond excited to have the opportunity to document that learning process with you all while having an excuse to sit down and have insightful conversations with people that I truly admire.
