In today’s session, I will be shifting my approach slightly to asking you 10 very important questions that every spouse needs to answer.
As a matter of fact, the heath of your marriage can be measured based on how many of these questions you have answers for. You may have to pause this episode periodically so that you can write down each of these questions. Then I want you to answer them. I would even recommend that both you and your spouse answer these questions individually and then schedule a time to actually discuss with each other your responses to these questions. Please enjoy this episode and I will see you on the couch at the Marriage Counselor's Corner! -

Episode 13: The #1 Thing That Destroys Marriages
This is episode number 13 and in today’s session, I am going to be discussing the number 1 marriage killer. This subject is so important that if it is not taken into consideration, it will destroy your marriage.
As a matter of fact, most couples come to me dealing with this and they don’t even know it. Once I do some digging, I inevitably discover that they have broken this law of master marriage.
That language should sound familiar because this information can be found in my book, The 37 Laws to Mastering Marriage. This information comes from Law #18…The Law of Expectations.
So, grab your notebook and a pen and let’s get started. -
Episode 12: Discovering Your Purpose In Life While Being Married (Part 2)
Today’s topic is one that on the surface may seem like it has nothing to do with your marriage but don’t be fooled. This subject is something that I have been intimately studying since about 2006 and I feel that I still barely have it figured out.
This episode is part 2 and the conclusion to last weeks very important episode. Today, I will be wrapping up the discussion on the importance of finding your purpose in life while being married. This episode will go even deeper into this life changing subject…so make sure to take notes and jot down what comes to mind.
Enjoy your session!

Has been an eye opening podcast
From the first podcast (of the new series) I listened to I was hooked! Every podcast is packed full of so much good information! I am in a difficult season of my marriage and have been looking to better myself, better my marriage and understand the things my husband is going through. After the first episode I listened to, I reached out to David and we scheduled a consultation! I felt so comfortable and safe to be open about what is going on and was given wonderful insight on how to navigate these troubled waters. I listen to his podcasts every single day. I say with confidence that because of this podcast (and the grace of God) I am able to stand another day, another week, another month….all while growing myself in the process. I am hopeful to be able to start coaching or counseling with them in the near future!

Aloha from Hawai’i
Aloha David & Mandy,
I’m D, and I’ve been listening to your podcast since I was 18 y/old. I am now 25 and married almost two months now! God is good 🙌 I’ve listened to A LOT of marriage podcasts, sermons, YouTube videos. I’ve read the books, I’ve talked to older couples. From 18-25, I have only found a few credible sources that I could cling to. Besides the Bible / Jesus: Focus on the Family, Adrian, Rodgers, John Hagee, Myles Monroe, and YOUR podcast (other sources but just to name a few). I wanted to give credit where it is due. Thanks for your knowledge and your wisdom.
As Robert Greene wrote in the 48 Laws of Power, “Like Janus, the double-faced Roman deity and guardian of all gates and doorways, you must be able to look in both directions at once, the better to handle danger from wherever it comes. Such is the face you must create for yourself- one face looking continuously to the future and the other to the past.” He then goes on to say, “… you look at the past to learn from those who came before you.” In mentioning this, I wanted to thank the both of you for sharing your knowledge/ experience so that I can hopefully avoid painful mistakes. Thank you for discussing your marriage and the mistakes you made in order to break the back of divorce for folks who are newly married / been married, or find themselves in a marriage crisis.
God bless and Mahalo 🌺
