    Damn Right or Hell No?

This episode was inspired by a game Shay played, called 'Damn Right Hell No'. We discuss our personal opinions on topics such as: using your partner's toothbrush, talking politics on the first date, house husbands, porn habits, common law vs marriage, and more!

    Mental Health during COVID

    Mental Health during COVID

Fear, uncertainty, loneliness, hopelessness... What's one word you'd use to summarize your 2020?

Please join us as we each recap how 2020 affected our mental, physical, and emotional well being. We will also be sharing how we hope to take our lessons from this seemingly long-drawn-out year and move forward with them, in 2021.

As you listen, you'll discover that our mental wellnesses were all impacted very differently. But here's the takeaway. No matter where you fall on the mental wellness scale, you are not alone. If you are having a hard time, or know someone who is, please try to stay connected to your community and/or support groups. Depression hits everyone differently but it is a lonely experience that makes us push those around us further away.

Here is the anonymous, peer-to-peer support community, mentioned in this episode: https://togetherall.com/

In Canada, we highlight Mental Health Week. This year, it took place between May 3-9, 2021. #GetReal is the movement's hashtag.

In the US, Mental Health Awareness Month is observed throughout the month of May.

    "Are you Chinese?"

    "Are you Chinese?"

When someone asks you "Are you Chinese?" what is your initial reaction?

In this episode, the three of us were able to dive a little bit deeper into our own unique Chinese-Canadian identities, and how our experiences growing up affect how we feel about our identities today. As first-generation Chinese immigrants, the three of us grew up with unique backgrounds and are able to come together to explore how our traditional vs. progressive families upbringing, childhood environment, schooling, and workplace affect our perspectives.

In light of the recent Asian-hate sentiment all over the world, we hope to shed light on what has happened, reconcile our internal sentiment towards these situations, and supply resources for anyone who wants to learn more.
