Absolutely Lovely Podcast

I’ve loved this podcast since the day it came out, so it’s a crime that it’s taken me until now to rate and review it.

While the podcast largely covers the Memento Mori Oracle deck, you don’t need to own the deck to listen to the podcast (although I’d recommend it anyway—it’s an amazing deck).

The episodes are haunting, eerie, thrilling, and ethereal, with each one telling a related story of a card from the oracle deck. The podcast is well-researched and executed, and Black and the Moon’s Claire Goodchild narrates it beautifully. Her voice is just the right blend of sweet and spooky to draw you into the Memento Mori world.

The episodes aren’t too long, and I’ll often listen to them again and again. I can’t recommend it enough, especially if you like curling up with a cup of tea and listening to a good story.

Heed The Lure Of The Oracle

(Re-edited) This, the Memento Mori Oracle, is absolute audio Nirvana. Even if you know nothing of the game and it’s rules, listening to the card descriptions & details is enchanting and hypnotic... I put this podcast on an even keel with The SCP Archives, The Exploring Series, and Dr Wuorno’s House Of The Mildly Evil.

Beautiful, emotionally soothing, produced so that ANYONE can enjoy the podcast - but I’ll add that: If you have an interest in super-fun, strangely original, while also spiritually uplifting shows with their own universal mythologies (stemmed from real-life religions) and relics & artifacts, accursed houses, blessed lakes, monster forests, abandoned demonic schools, angelically-protected aerial gardens, or whatever - then I think Memento Mori is right up your alley.

Fascinating, Intriguing, Spooky!

I first heard about the Memento Mori Oracle deck on the Coffee & Cauldrons podcast, so I went to Black and the Moon to check it out. I was immediately smitten with the deck and pre-ordered the second printing! While perusing the site, I saw it had a podcast, so I came for a listen. DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Everything from the music, to the host, to the information and stories behind the symbols on the card, is fantastic. So thrilled I found this podcast, and I cannot wait to receive my cards and listen along each episode.
