    Deescalation (EP. 84)

    Deescalation (EP. 84)

On EP. 84 of the Men of Iron Podcast Chad talks about deescalation and how we should respond in the middle of relational conflict. How do you handle conflict with a co-worker or with your wife? Do you respond with grace or do you go on the defensive?

In the face of conflict your body responds immediately, your heart rate spikes. You feel a sudden surge of adrenaline. The fight-or-flight response is triggered by the release of hormones that prepare your body to either stay and deal with a threat or to run away to safety.

But, there is a short in the wiring. The bible calls it sin or iniquity. We can be triggered without just cause, and we can trigger others without cause. We often escalate situations because we don't feel safe, there is an underlying fear. Chad provides practical tips to help you deescalate and resolve conflict with grace in any and every situation.

"Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord." // Hebrews 12:14, ESV

Men so Need this

While I have not gotten started yet on my Mentorship/Protege process, this ministry is super encouraging and I am thrilled to see this kind of focus.
While I have a strong desire to mentor other men, I’m taking a protege role to experience that side of things for the next year, before becoming a mentor.

This podcast is very helpful, gives practical advice and is adjusting and flexible as it grows!

Brothers of Merit ,

Check them out!

A great ministry for men. We love what they are about and their podcast! Thanks for what you do!
