Merseyside Derby Postponement - who benefits the most?

Royal Blue: The Everton FC Podcast

The Merseyside Derby was called off and postponed for a date yet to be determined thanks to adverse weather conditions which swept through the city on Saturday afternoon.

The decision means Everton now have a game in hand on their relegation rivals and remain five points clear of the drop zone as the tough December period gets into full swing.

Ian Croll, Chris Beesley and Connor O’Neill head into the Royal Blue studio for the Monday show as they discuss whether the decision to reschedule the match benefits Sean Dyche’s men in any way.

Also on today’s agenda is discussion on the decision to play Everton’s third round FA Cup tie with Peterborough United on a Thursday night.

Finally, the lads discuss the departure of Manchester United Sporting Director, Dan Ashworth from the club and whether he could become a viable option for Everton in the Summer under the new owners.
