Michael Nye Podcast

I've been following Mr. Nye's work for the past 2-3 years and just learned about this podcast. First off, I don't review often, but I am overwhelmed with gratitude for this project. In my community there are people who feel bad for me and think my opportunities are limited compared to theirs. I have appreciated how many of the speakers on this podcast (I am still on season 1) emphasize their experience as a benefit and adventure rather than a trial or disability. I also appreciate the brevity of the episodes and they exclude any advertisements. Thank you to the entire team producing this show. You have connected me with mentors that have expanded my heart. I am sharing this podcast with as many people as I can.

“My Heart is Not Blind” has become my favorite podcast for several reasons. First, the people whose voices are the essence of the podcast are totally inspiring. They answer the frightful question most of us have: How would I deal with a huge, unfair setback? The make me believe that I, too, would find the courage and energy and humor which they all exhibit. They seem to me to be a rule rather than an exception because they describe their depression, denial, sadness or anger before their adjustment and happiness. Second, the episodes are brief, due to the amazing editing. So I can listen to one or four, depending on my own schedule or frame of mind. Third, each one makes me smile. The individuals all say something wise and something funny and something interesting. I want to know them. How can we “meet” someone for just 5-6 minutes and want to know them?! I am worried about finishing all the episodes. I will need to go back and start over.
