MINDF*CK

Natalie Ruxton
MINDF*CK

An existential dissection of the (mostly) Gen-Z mind, with a dash of cosmic perspective. How have we been changed by miss corona? How do young people view the universe now that some kinda f*cked up stuff has happened? I feel like every day is a mindbinder of learning how to be a happier and better human to the people around me, planet Earth and myself. I stop and listen to the coolest people around me to do this. Here are some of those moments of listening, and other moments of complete nonsense.

How the Happiest, Most Productive (Young) Person I Know Thinks

Caroline Reynolds, or as we call her, Creyn (pronounced Kr-En), is the happiest person (our age) I know. The 21-year-old from Boston is a senior at the University of Southern California, and is also one of the most productive individuals I know. Her bubbly energy, serotonin and zest for life are truly contagious. Creyn and I could not be more different in regards to our viewpoints on spirituality and career, yet I’ve shared some of my most joyous moments in college with her. Though you may not know Creyn, I think everyone can learn something from her wonderfully innocent and simplistic view on life that is all about the power of being here, now, on this planet, even if it all is for nothing. This episode, just as Creyn does, likely will make you want to find happiness in even the most silly, meaningless parts of life. So, please, let her contagious love of life wash over you. Some (but not limited to) topics discussed: -how viewing showering can possibly tell us if we are happy ?¿ -the A Cinderella Story phenomenon (Hilary Duff version only) -how to run on a treadmill for 20 miles straight, looking at nothing -is there hidden beauty behind top 40 music? -the pearly white gates, the real ones (are they real?) -how to get up everyday at 6 am -why do we even try if life could mean nothing -Nickelback! -did miss rona change you? -the power of a 7th grade level to-do list -feeling like a kindergartener again as a senior in college -vulnerability of admitting you like literally anything
