Good morning, Minneapolis! Bundle up because winter is making its presence known with a chilly forecast that'll have you reaching for your warmest layers.
Overnight, we're looking at a slight chance of snow before 4 in the morning. Temperatures will dip down to around 17 degrees Fahrenheit with a gentle north-northeast wind around 5 miles per hour.
Saturday brings a cloudy day with temperatures struggling to reach 23 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a north wind between 5 to 15 miles per hour that'll make it feel even cooler.
Saturday night gets interesting with a 50 percent chance of snow between 9 at night and 5 in the morning. Temperatures will plummet to around 4 degrees Fahrenheit, with north winds howling between 10 to 15 miles per hour. We might see a dusting of less than one inch of snow.
Sunday is going to be brutally cold. Expect partly sunny skies with a high near 8 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill values could drop to a bone-chilling negative 13 degrees, so dress like an arctic explorer!
The cold continues through Washington's Birthday, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures hovering around negative 1 degree Fahrenheit. Northwest winds will stick around at about 10 miles per hour.
Looking ahead, we've got a week of cold, crisp winter weather with temperatures mostly staying in the single digits. Monday night could see temperatures dropping to negative 16 degrees, and Tuesday will barely warm up to 3 degrees Fahrenheit.
