Misplaced Life: Is Saving Our Democracy 1 Vote Closer? (With Special Guest, Frances Berman)

Former Interscope Records marketing executive, Ginger Ramsey, reunites with her label family in this latest episode. In an effort to inform people on the issues when they go to the polls, this week's episode features our conversation with Frances Berman, founder of 1 Vote Closer, and also the wife of Interscope's Vice Chairman, Steve Berman (aka Gangster Steve). 1 Vote Closer is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that is designed to help people understand a variety of important federal, state and local issues and empower them to vote. We discuss an impactful mission close to our hearts and even hear about the time Frances told Bono to bugger off! 

We chat about today's uncertain times and what creates a desire to learn more. “Becoming educated about the issues is critical to making informed decisions and can bring all of us 1 Vote Closer to making a difference,” Frances explains. Adding to that, we believe that 1 Vote Closer does an EXCELLENT job at breaking down issues for people of all ages, even those who can't yet vote, in the simplest yet personalized form. When it becomes personal, they become more connected and then...they take action. More of THIS please!!!!

Frances also shares her own journey, when she felt misplaced in life, and how she became inspired to start 1 Vote Closer. Her story highlights the theme of our show – that by sharing personal experiences, we realize that we are more alike than different. We are all on a journey, and sometimes we all take some wrong turns. Just remember guys - even those missteps are necessary, because we learn from those choices!!!
