The Everyone Watches Women's Sports Edition | Majority Rules

It's the holiday season at Majority Rules and our student writers are finishing up their fall semesters! The gang starts by sharing where they'll be spending the holidays as well as their favorite Mizzou Olympic Sports memory of 2024 (hint: the title gives away people's answers). Matthew, joining the crew from Chicago where he hopes to catch a flight to Pittsburgh for the Sweet 16, chats about all things Mizzou volleyball, from their opening whoopin of both Texas State and 2-seed (and HOST school) SMU to their upcoming rematch with Kentucky and their well-deserved postseason accolades. The future is so, so bright for Dawn Sullivan & Co and we thank Matthew for providing the best coverage in all the land. Abigail then shares some tidbits from the track Tigers' first meet in Boston, which featured just a small group of distance runners. Most importantly, she is SUPER psyched to put on her fanalyst hat and get to watch the Tigers in person this indoor season on their new banked track in January! Next up is Dylan, who chats about Mizzou Women's Hoops' recent romp over SMU in the ACC/SEC Challenge, the upcoming conference slate, and who has impressed him, and how we think the Tigers will fare in SEC play. Quentin joins via video message to provide his own WBB takes before Rory chats on her video message about former Tiger Jack Dahlgren's performance at the recent Toyota US Open. Matthew then jumps back in with some updates on Tigerstyle's performance at the Cougar Clash and they chat about Brian Smith's recruiting approach before looking at the Tigers' next matchup. Karen closes things out with some gymnastics news-- Mark your calendars for December 18 at 11:30am at Hearnes for their final intrasquad meet, and the WCGA preseason rankings are out, and Mizzou is 9th! We wish everyone a happy holiday season, and hope to be back next week with another show to talk about WBB, VB, and GYM! 2. The Mizzou Sports video update episode | Majority Rules

The Mizzou Sports video update episode | Majority Rules

In this sparsely attended episode, Karen chats with Mizzou Women's Hoops writers Quentin & Dylan about the Tigers' time in Florida and their latest win over Jacksonville State (Ala.) before getting into the team's SEC-ACC Challenge opponent, SMU, a team most definitely not on the Atlantic coast. Dylan wraps up the chat with some quips and coach speak from Tiger Talk, which has moved locations for hoops season. Then, we hear individual video updates from a festive Abigail on the start of indoor T&F season, which will have home meets this season thanks to their new track, and the surprise return of our favorite J-School triple jumper, Euphenie Andre. Matthew appears with volleyball updates from on the road at an Oklahoma What-a-burger, where he's making his way to the NCAA Volleyball tournament to watch Dawn Sullivan & Co. take on Texas State in a quest to reach the Sweet 16. Rory then joins to talk all things swim & dive (so many best times!), before Matthew returns with another video about wrestling and its surprisingly poor start. Finally, the original trio regroups so Karen can provide some overly enthusiastic Gym updates (less than 30 days!) and since everyone on the screen covers softball in some capacity, they talk about the surprising exit of pitcher Lilly Whitten over the holiday weekend, and what that means for this already small Tiger rotation which will be tasked with playing one HELL of a schedule. Thanks for listening and we hope to have more on the show next time!
