Some of my favorite phrases and words in korean arent easy to explain, but once you get them, you GET THEM. Like, on a level of getting something that's jut higher than what you expect. Did that even make sense? Scenes taken from some dramas I really really loved (Cheese in the Trap wasnt a bad drama, I swear), and we break down some vocabulary/grammar concepts as well. Episode 2 : 나는 덕후라서 /Na-neun deok-hu-ra-seo/ Because I'm a fangirl
"덕후" /deok-hu/ is a term derived from the Japanese term "Otaku" (おたく) referring to someone who is obsessed with something. Now to be referred to as such before sometimes implied a little bit of condescension. But times have changed, and fans of all shapes & colors have found a variety of things while showing their favorites their love-- comfort, sisterhood (or brotherhood), friendships, empty wallets and what-not. On this week's episode of Mmm-K!, we talk to Mara, a Mindfulness Consultant (among many other brilliant things),my friend, student and fangirl (ofc) about the many aspects of being a fan. Including entry points, how we cope, and many others!

Or is it really episode 0.5? Like a true clutz, here I am Grace Ssaem, stumbling into my first episode where I discuss (almost as if in an attempt to make myself hungry) korean dramas and food.
