Love catching up with friends
10 janv.
I have been listening since the beginning before I had my daughter and now have 2 littles and I feel like I’ve grown with the podcast. Originally I was all about the expert info going into motherhood and now always prioritizing the catchups. Finding friends with similar beliefs in real life is hard and finding time to spend with them as a mom is hard. I find myself feeling like I’m catching up with friends when I get to listen. Solidarity in challenges and shared joy in abundance. Thank you, ladies!
Cringey
6 févr.
I never could put my finger on it but I read another review that summed it up. It definitely is mostly Laura who just romanticizes her life to the point of cringeyness. It totally might be your thing, maybe it inspires you, but to ME, it just seems cringey. the way she talks about like walking down the road to school and sipping on her organic sulfite free wine and homemade sour dough while picking the daises in the meadow (I made that part up) is just like, ok we get it you are just so blissful. I don’t know. They seem nice, a little out of touch maybe, but I can’t bring myself to listen anymore
“Modern”
28 janv.
If by “modern” you mean colonial feminism, constantly self-centering, while basking in the comfort of your individual privileged life, this podcast is for you! Sadly these two, namely Laura, have stunted themselves in growth by incessantly romanticizing their lives whilst actively ignoring what is actually going on in a more typical “modern mama’s” life. I had hope that I would grow in my motherhood journey alongside them but it’s become blatantly obvious they will continue to talk ignorantly and avoid discomfort. This pod takes up much needed brain space that would be put to better use by healing yourself or tackling collective liberation for the sake of ALL mamas and children, not just your own in your comfy part of the world. Save yourself the listen and channel your energy elsewhere.
Love Laura and Jess!
