Customer Reviews
thoughtful, in-depth, and compassionate
Incredibly thoughtful, considerate conversations on a wide variety of topics relating to making games work for you. I began listening for the amazing episodes on accessibility concerns with guest Elsa Sjunneson-Henry, and was delighted to find that every other episode went just as in-depth with its chosen topic. There's a real sense here of wanting to do right by an expanding, complicated community, and to lead the way with compassion and support. Modifier is a great bunch of people as well as a great resource for sparking thought and new opportunities in how you play games.
Came for the boardgames, left because of the political commentary.
A board game podcast her telling people how to vote is pretty entertaining, but that’s not why I was listening.
Wonderful Insight on Game Design
Modifier is a delightful interview show about the thoughts and ideas that go into tabletop and LARP design, with a focus on reshaping the rules to give everyone the best experience possible. This show is for anyone who has ever made a house rule in a game, and offers a lot of insight on how to make the hobby more friendly and accessible to everyone.
