"Let's Talk About Sex Bay-Bee" With Dr. Lea Lis

If you're dreading the day you have to have "the sex talk" with your kids, this is the episode for you. We talked with Dr. Lea Lis (a.k.a “The Shameless Psychiatrist”) all about getting into the birds and the bees with our kids. She's a double board-certified Adult and Child Psychiatrist and an Assistant Clinical Professor at New York Medical College, who's active in the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Lis dives right in and nothing is taboo to her. She literally wrote the book on talking to your kids about sex and it's called, No Shame: Real Talk With Your Kids About Sex, Self-Confidence, and Healthy Relationships. In this episode, Dr. Lis tells Hilaria and Daphne to be honest, open and unashamed when approaching our kids about sex and their bodies. If we have reservations, our kids will too. She discusses how sex is addressed differently between cultures, whether it's in Europe or the U.S. and there are many approaches.
