We explore beliefs in marriages, relationships, dating, and prenups. We talked about having the option to opt out of the marriage, without penalty, at the two year renewal process.     In this week's episode, we get back to love and relationships with my special panel of guests; Kaci, Kay Kay, Mista Calhoun, and BJ. We discussed out interpretation to the song Take Care by The Dream. I immediately kicked things off with the important question asking what does it means to be taken care of? We also discussed that it means to be encompassed by love, and why some people fantasize the idea of being in a relationship without looking at the reality of the work it takes to maintain a healthy relationship.     Setting the Table - Part 2

    In this week's episode of Moms and Martinis, Kaci, Kay Kay, Calhoun and I continue the conversation about setting the table. We discuss identifying the red flags before entering a relationship, dating a man with children, the differences between standards and preferences. We also discuss dating someone who was not what we considered to be the ideal mate and how the relationship worked. Calhoun gives the ladies tips on how to show effort in a relationship. Despite the in-depth conversation, we are still left with so many questions. Do we blame society for the narrative that is being shared about the division between men and women? Is there a double standard for men and women? Are men judged by their money? Are women judged based on their sexual partners? Are plus-size women looked at as fetishes?     Co-Parenting With a Twist

    In this week’s episode I have a conversation with Ashley, my oldest daughter’s bonus mom and my forever friend. We discuss how we met our children’s father, domestic violence shared with him, how she felt dating a guy with a child, why we both left him, and how we were able to remain close after he left the picture and the child became an adult. We also discuss how it came to be that our ex managed to take my daughter without me knowing and how I managed to get her back with Ashley’s help. This week is yet another inside look into my life and the past experiences that have groomed me into who I am today.
