The argument that there’s more difference between Murray and Wawrinka than Murray and Federer is just plain ignorant. How can you possibly compare Murray’s 3 wins to Fed’ Rafa’s Novak’s 20+?

Indeed, it’s impressive. I’ve been a lifelong tennis fan, but after starting to listen to Gill Gross, I’ve learned so much. He’s made me appreciate the game much more. His analysis is very factual and incisive.

Gill, love the podcast. I try to listen every week and love all the detail you go into for each subject. My question may have been addressed before, but I have only been listening for a little over a year. Is there a reason why Wawrinka doesn’t get mentioned in the same breath as Murray? I understand he didn’t achieve world number 1, but is number 9 on the all time money list and has 3 majors winning over Djokovic 2x & Nadal 1x. Did Federer’s success as a fellow Swiss just over shadow him and make him an afterthought, or is there something else I’m missing? Thanks!

Hi Gill, I’m a huge fan of 3 years now. Thanks for always brightening up my day, and I hope you are staying safe in the wake of the LA fires. My question is about Monfils. What does it say about his longevity that he now has a rivalry (2+ matches) with someone half his age in Basavareddy? Is it any consolation to him that although he is 0-20 against Djokovic, than he is 2-0 against Djokovic’s clone? ;)
