UNSCRYPTED Episode 7: Money as a System of Control Andreas M. Antonopoulos is a best-selling author, speaker, educator, and one of the world’s foremost bitcoin and open blockchain experts. But what if there is actually a fourth use of money which subordinates all the other functions? In the last episode, he prompted you to think about whether you really understand what money is; now he prompts you to question whether the money in your bank account is really yours. He also argues that our monetary systems have become an extrajudicial tool of state actors to exert political influence over large populations, where freedom of speech and association can be snuffed at the bank. This talk took place on September 12th 2017 at the Advanced Digital Innovation Summit in Vancouver, Canada.
