Really not detailed and hard to listen to. Hard pass.

Sometimes very interesting, they don’t explain much of what they talk about so if you don’t have a finance background you’ll be lost a fair bit. Also are they financed by Bill Ackman? He is often gratuitously mentioned and always as “friend of the show”. Kind of a weird shout-out to year so much.

Far too many ads for a show of its length. Matt and Katie are great but the show should really cover topics not addressed by the newsletter.

New listener but likely won’t return. Nov 8th episode on pricing - Real Page, salary ranges, farmers markets - is uninformed. I was very surprised at the lack of analysis of the topic. Discussion was off the cuff, anecdotal versus based on theoretical and empirical research. The FTC Real Page investigation identifies an enforcement mechanism. Pretty clear from the hosts’ comments that they were commenting without reading the FTC report.

Matt is great and I would happily listen to him talk through more of his Money Stuff stories every week in podcast form. Sometimes the sound equalization between him and Katie is off (given their very different voice tones?) so it’s hard to hear him - would think that’s an easy fix. But as a woman - why does Katie have to come off as the dumb woman here? Seems she’s trying to sound ditzy and uninformed. The pico de gallo bit was hard to listen to, she doesn’t seem to have strong insights on ETFs which is supposed to be her thing.

Great podcast about money stuff

Matt you should sound as clear as your partner. Often I lose the crux of the story because your always great thoughts are lost in a cacophony of sounds. Easy fix to make your podcast great.

Money Stuff is fun as a podcast too. Only recommendation is to have more content that wasn’t covered before in the newsletter - either Q&A or stories from ”Things Happen”
