Moving Abroad Talks With An Expat Living In Portugal

Life After Moving Abroad

Moving Abroad is a new radio show about the lifestyles of expats. An expatriate (often shortened to expat) is a term used for retirees and others who have chosen to live outside their native country. Our guest for this segment, Cynthia Kirkwood, moved to the countryside of central Portugal from rural Cornwall in Britain. Born and raised in New York by parents who emigrated from Belize, she was a newspaper journalist in the United States, working at papers around the country. She left San Francisco for Sicily in 1994 and has lived in Europe since then. Cynthia wrote an online book about her move called "Portugal Is Personal" at http://cynthiaadinakirkwo.wixsite.com/portugal-is-personal Cynthia has also written a novel about a fictional character from Britain who turns outlaw in Los Angeles that can be found here https://www.amazon.com/Turn-Tune-CYNTHIA-ADINA-KIRKWOOD/dp/9899987301/15489094.
