Telling a story or just making one up?

This is specifically regarding season 2 Firstly I found the parents have permanent roses-colored glasses, representing their sons’ childhood like a missing chapter from Tom Sawyer. Here’s a tip, running with the fishing pole isn’t “innovative” it’s taking an easy action and making it absurdly more complex, just like getting a divorce is easier than committing a triple murder. I expected the parents to be bias, however the storyteller bought into the ridiculous story, probably in the hopes of making the story better. Halfway thru, the man who “would never incriminate his wife” does nothing BUT point the finger at her!! Up to that point, I’d believed he may have been innocent, but the deviate of that letter is someone who thinks they’re smart enough to manipulate everyone and made me certain of his guilt. I didn’t like how easily the narrator couldn’t remain bias but instead drank the family kool-aid for the sake of ratings. Lastly, the theme music was Not to my liking, that’s the nicest thing I can say about that.

Chris’ family is misogynistic and it is evident they resent educated people and they put her down at every turn. “Kim couldn’t cook, Kim was sedentary, insinuating Kim trapped” Chris. Insinuating Kim had loose morals by getting pregnant. They do not seem to have a very objective view of their own kid. Chris’ parents don’t seem to be broken up that their grandkids are dead and more intent on villainizing Kim and her family. The music is horrific and I couldn’t make it past episode 3.

I think the low star reviews might be the family who wasn’t willing to speak with you. I think you didn’t just raise reasonable doubt, you proved his innocence. Chris is a victim, not a criminal. I hope that his new pro bono lawyers are able to get him released.
Ironically Biased

Never have I ever listened to a show or podcast where someone sets out to show someone has been wrongfully convicted and not agreed with the journalist. Bc it seems usually people do fair unbiased reporting. NOT here! They call blood splatter junk science but rely on the 1 thing and that 1 thing only to prove this guy didn’t slaughter his entire family. This is the story of a privileged white man who murdered his family and a so called journalist who is utterly blinded by mountains of evidence to prove her own theory. I listened all the way through and what a waste of time. Don’t bother if you genuinely care about wrongfully convicted people this ain’t it. Gross.
