Blue Zones, ikigai and adopting a "Musical Mindset”

Episode 31 : Blue Zones, ikigai & adopting a "Musical Mindset”

Woah it’s been a massive week of learning and growth here at the Moovers and Shakers Music headquarters! I was fortunate enough to run an amazing online workshop for the group coaching program I’m a part of (Ending Body Burnout). I call this workshop "Tune into you" - pun intended -because it's about tuning into yourself through movement (Dao yin), breathwork, and making music with our voices and bodies! We all had SO much fun and I received great feedback on how good it felt to 'release tension and stress' and to feel a 'happiness and connection through making music with others'! If you are interested in hosting me for a similar workshop - either in person or online- for your workteams or group of friends, please send an inquiry via email to hello@mooversnshakersmusic.com.au

I also had my first article published on an online parenting website  "Kiddipedia: click for link: it's about the importance of engaging in music, movement and mindfulness with your children over the winter months!

And perhaps the biggest ‘win’ is that I have also signed an exciting partnership with an international organisation who -like me- share a mission to spread the magic and power of music to early childhood professionals and parents, to boost young children's learning, development wellbeing and school readiness. Stay tuned for more info on that as we develop our shared projects and training options!

In today’s episode I’m talking about Mindset:

how we as adults can learn tools to change and rewire our mindset
what I believe it means to have a musical mindset
knowing the value of integrating musical learning and mindfulness practices for the transferable learning and wellbeing benefits.
how watching a doco on Blue Zones has helped me clarify my own 'ikigai' and 'plan de vida'
the Moovers n Shakers Music "Three Cs" learning framework: Connect, Captivate, Collaborate

I hope you get alot out of today’s episode and it inspires you to be a little curious about your own mindset!

Professionals can wear rainbow tutu's too!

Episode 30: Professionals can wear rainbow tutu’s too!

In this week’s episode I am sharing some key takeaways after having spent an amazing day surrounded by passionate, educated and inspiring business-women. The Tasmanian Business Women’s Conference opened up a very lively can of worms for me in terms of confidence, motivation and opportunities to collaborate and connect with other passionate entrepreneurs. For the most part, Speakers focussed on  mindset and my key takeaways were:

Taking the time to listen to your own story and own whatever that looks like!
The danger of falling into the ‘comparison trap’
It’s ok - and healthy - to embrace new seasons of growth’ by rewriting stories and beliefs that no longer define the best version of yourself
Tapping into your intuition and really trusting yourself as the CEO of your own life!
Knowing your numbers, tracking them and setting intentional goals
“Being a professional” comes in many shapes and sizes and everyone’s story is unique!

Also I mention an exciting week ahead for Chris n Filly Functional Medicine as they open doors for the Ending Body Burnout Method which I have recently completed myself with truly transformative results in my personal and professional health and wellbeing!

Finding Flow and emotional release through Music with Chris Bellette

Finding Flow and emotional release through Music with Chris Bellette

EPISODE 29:  Finding flow and emotional release through Music

I am thrilled to have a special guest joining us this week! Chris Bellette is Co-Founder of multi award-winning health practice Chris & Filly Functional Medicine. He is a Burnout Recovery Coach, Certified NLP Master Practitioner & Mind Coach.

Together with his wife Filipa Bellette, Chris has worked with over 2,500+ burned-out clients in the past combined 25+ years. Their practice is best known for ending body burnout (for good!) in “busy” people with energy, mood & gut issues. Wanna know something? I WAS one those "busy, burnt-out people'' and am so grateful to have been working with both Chris and Filly for the past 6 months to transform my life and rediscover my Spark! I can tell you first hand how skilled, compassionate and generous they both are with - and so well deserving of their award as the Tasmanian State Winner & National Finalist for the Telstra Best of Business Awards 2022, as well as Winner for the Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards 2022. Their work is regularly featured in the media, such as nine.com.au, Forbes and Body+Soul.

Chris’s own passion for helping “busy” people have more energy, calm and connection, came from his own personal experience of body burnout, after juggling the demands of business, family & elite athleticism (think national athlete).

Chris is the first responder to my public call-out to “Share your Musical Story” and what a lively, heart-warming story it is!

    In this episode we

Take a trip down the Musical memory lane of his childhood and ‘teenage-angst’ years
Find out how music helped him ‘evolve’ his emotional maturity
Discover how his love of music led him to teach himself the harmonica and guitar
Understand why,  as an adult, he chooses to listen to or play music intentionally to support mood, attention, focus and find flow in his life!

I know many of you will resonate with Chris’ down-to-earth story and I hope - we hope- it inspires more of you listeners to share yours!

    Episode 26: Tune in to...YOU!

    Episode 26: Tune in to...YOU!

    EPISODE 26: Tune in to…You!

This week on the Podcast I want to continue the conversation around mindset and using music as a regulation tool.

I often talk about the importance of being able to ‘connect’ with yourself first and foremost before you can deeply connect with others - being a musician and a bit of a word-nerd, it makes me so happy that I can use the term “TUNE IN” to express this idea!!! Just like when we are ‘tuned in’ to a radio station we are able to hear clearly what is being communicated; so too we are more able to ‘hear’ clearly the messages from our body, inner self and heart when we are tuned in to ourselves. It means we are more likely to actively seek out tools and strategies to maintain a good, healthy relationship with ourselves-  and that in turn extends to the relationships we have with others.

If you’re curious to find out more about this and you’re around the NorthWest coast of Tasmania on April 6th make sure you’ve got your ticket to the Mini-Retreat I’m holding at the beautiful ‘Two Oaks’ in Somerset. It’s going to be a magical morning of ‘tuning in to you’ with Music, Movement and Mindfulness.
