Chasing Heroine: Addiction Recovery and Sobriety
Jeannine was an active drug addict and alcoholic for 15 years - her using led to multiple arrests, homelessness, and the loss of absolutely everything - which she considers to be the best thing that ever happened to her. Sober since January 15, 2015, and now a successful fitness entrepreneur and instructor, content creator and public speaker, she is committed to sharing both her own and her guest’s stories in the hopes that they may help guide and inspire others seeking a similar path of recovery and healing.
I’ve learned so much from this podcast

I never miss an episode. I have so much more compassion after hearing these stories. So many amazing people willing to share their journey. The big takeaway for me is that it’s never too late. People are never too far gone. It would be fun to have people vote on their favorite episode at the end of each year.
Fantastic Show

My current obsession
24/11/2024
I absolutely love this podcast. I love to binge episodes while in the car constantly for work. Jeannine has helped me so much. Her takeaways, lessons, and advice has inspired me to get back in to my own Recovery. I have 4 years clean but quit working a program early in my Recovery. Because of this podcast, I have realized that I am selling myself short by not working steps and being of service to others. Jeannine, you have such a good thing going and thank you for pouring your heart into this!
Understanding

I first want to say that I do not have a substance abuse problem. I started listening to this podcast to get an understanding of why my uncle who I adored couldn’t stop doing heroin. Not only do I now understand why I also understand why I couldn’t help save him. This podcast has finally brought me peace about his death. It also gives me tools to be able to discuss drugs abuse with my two young boys. I do suffer from depression and childhood trauma and this podcast has helped me see it could be worse, but it also could get better. It gives me hope. And I am so happy to see that getting help has come a long way! Thanks Jeannine for putting yourself out there for the world to see.
