Members of our Stop People Dying Too Young group meet with professionals to answer the questions we all want to understand. From discussing how to arrange a funeral to what a good death means. These podcasts are about overcoming barriers to celebrating personal achievements, these moving stories offer a rare invitation to hear life from a different perspective.

    Welcome to the final episode in the second season of our podcast, ‘My Ordinary Life’.     Welcome to the second season of our podcast, ‘My Ordinary Life’.  This new season is all about talking openly with people with a learning disability about  death and dying, the feelings we have when someone we love dies and how we can help people to feel more comfortable talking about these topics. In this episode, we meet David Nicholls. He works at a funeral director called ‘Go As You Please’. David is joined by Suzie Fothergill and her two children, Anthony and Lindsey. They share why they decided to plan their funerals ahead of time and explain how they did it. They also share personal stories and talk about the special ways they want their funerals to reflect their own personalities. The episode talks about how cremations and burials work and explains why planning ahead can make things easier for family and friends.
