Ep 04: The Purpose of Practice

Today, we deep dive into the purpose of practice and explore the differences between true practice, performative practice, disassociated practice, and upholder practice. In the information-overloaded age we live in, it's more important than ever to understand how practice shapes not just us but also the people we teach.  Throughout our conversation, we break down the different types of practice and discuss the importance of pure intentionality, the role of forgiveness and adaptation, and how to choose doable and sustainable practices. We also touch on the power of community and connectedness in shaping your practice and the impact of informal, everyday rituals. Does being a mother supersede you also being an auntie? Today, we deep dive into these questions, explore early 'Crone-a-pause,' and discuss the evolving role of eldership in today's world.
