Compassionate Host

Talaya invited me to share my story of an ovarian cancer diagnosis in 1981 on her podcast. This was before Gilda Radner and a focus on this horrific disease. Her kindness and compassion was sincerely appreciated as I related the shock of this diagnosis at age 28, the treatment and my life afterwards. The take away is that women should see their doctor annually as this type of cancer is not usually detected until the patient experiences pain. Talking to Talaya enabled me to encourage listeners to take an active role in their health care. I am sincerely appreciative to Talaya for this opportunity. - Shared with permission on behalf of Nadean Stone, MBA, CLM.
