New Owner Hayes Permar: The Rialto Theatre

Reese, Kmac and Pam interview the new owner of The Rialto, Hayes Permar.

Hayes Permar is the SportsChannel8 lead anchor, host and reporter, who grew up going to The Rialto. The Rialto is an 87-year-old structure on Glenwood Avenue that temporarily closed last summer after its previous owner retired.

Permar has a vision and plans on bringing The Rialto back to its former glory and then some.

"I don't want to be boxed in," Permar said. "We're not a comedy club, we're not a music hall and we're not just a movie place: We're all of it."

One of Permar's main plans is to bring back live music to The Rialto. But that's only one of the many ideas. Permar doesn't want to disclose all his creative ideas and believes that his best idea is still yet to come.

Come late fall/early winter, The Rialto should be completely off its feet and operating full blast.
