James - The Blessing of The Word

James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations:

James 1:16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,  who does not change like shifting shadows.  18 He chose to give us birth through the  word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. 22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

The Blessing of God comes through the Word of God.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is  living and powerful. It is sharper than a sword that cuts both ways. It cuts straight into where the soul and spirit meet and it divides them. It cuts into the joints and bones. It tells what the heart is thinking about and what it wants to do.


You need to have FAITH in it.
In order to have faith in it , you need REVELATION from it
In order to get a revelation from it you need to MEDITATE on it.

 logos = written word of God, the General, constant, consistent voice of God

Rhema  = a instant, personal revelation from God

Luke 1:34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

Luke 1:35 “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

37 For no word from God will ever fail.” 

38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.”

MEDITATION
Meditation Activates Revelation

Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. 

Joshua 1:7-8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
