Nitrous Oxide Abatement: How Reducing N2O Emissions Protects Our Health and Planet
William E. Flederbach Jr., the President & CEO of ClimeCo who is a respected leader in the global environmental commodities market. ClimeCo is a global sustainability company advancing the low-carbon future with market-based solutions joins eHealth Radio and the Health News Channel.
Also joining us is Eric A. Davidson a Professor at the Appalachian Laboratory of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. Dr. Davidson and his team’s research in biogeochemistry includes the exchange of greenhouse gases between the soil and the atmosphere.
Listen to interview with host Eric Michaels & guests William E. Flederbach Jr. & Dr. Eric A. Davidson discuss the following:
- You recently attended the White House Super pollutants Summit. What’s the goal of the Summit and is such a meeting necessary? Why are super pollutants like N2O so concerning from an overall environmental perspective and from a public health standpoint?
- What is Nitrous Oxide (N2O), and where does it come from?
- It can be easy for people to feel like there’s nothing they can do in light of such massive challenges. What is ClimeCo doing to address overall climate issues, but especially as related to super pollutants and difficult -to-abate industries?
- What do you want people to understand about the health benefits of combatting climate change?
- How does environmental justice tie into public health?
