This podcast helps me get the thoughts rolling for a particular week. It’s also really helpful that you put the podcast out a little more than a week in advance. I’m guest preaching for my pastor this week and because of the Christmas pageant we cut a week out (Ezra) and as I’m doing some last minute writing it was helpful to see that the text I needed was available since we’re using it a week early! I made this note on the website but thought I’d comment here too, you mention the meanings of all the men’s names in the passage but skipped the meaning of Elizabeth’s name, so I went and looked it up. It was also relevant!

This resource is invaluable to those who are thinking about starting the Narrative Lectionary or who are interested in diving deeper. They have such good rapport, and knowledge that every episode can provide a few different sermon paths to look at and build from.
